Purpose and Scope

This qualification is designed to:

  • Recognise the skills, knowledge, and competence of individuals involved in site
    inspection roles within construction.
  • Support professionals who monitor quality, safety, and compliance across
    construction projects.
  • Provide a pathway to career progression, including eligibility for the CSCS Gold Card.

Entry Requirements

  • No formal academic qualifications required.
  • Candidates must be in a role that allows them to demonstrate:
    o Site inspection responsibilities
    o Competence in monitoring and reporting

Duration

  • Total Qualification Time (TQT): 790 hours
  • Guided Learning Hours (GLH): Minimum 410 hours
  • Duration varies based on experience and pace, typically 6–12 months.
